Thomas A. Swafford MS MD has over 30 years of experience in the practice of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Not only has he practiced his specialty in Stillwater for 28 years, he has made Stillwater his home and raised his family here over this 28 year period. He recently transitioned from private practice to a service agreement with Stillwater Medical.

Dr. Swafford is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his fellowship at Vanderbilt University College of Medicine. Dr. Swafford completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and a graduate degree in Biochemistry from Wright State University. Dr. Swafford is a past member of the Board of Admissions for the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He has served our country as an officer in the United States Army for 5 years. He attends John Hopkins University Medical Center for his yearly continuing medical education.
