About

Dr. Miles grew up on a farm in Perkins, Oklahoma. She went to Oklahoma State University for her undergraduate training, where she graduated with an honors degree and summa cum laude in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then went on to the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, where she was recognized as the Top Student in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Miles completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine in Tulsa, where she was selected as Chief resident and also won numerous teaching awards, including the Golden Apple Award and the Crimson Apple Teaching Award for Medical Teaching.

Dr. Miles takes pride in educating patients and making medical decisions that best fit them as an individual. Dr. Miles believes that certain conditions, such as hot flashes or heavy periods, shouldn’t be brushed aside because they are normal events in a woman’s life. She specializes in treating these conditions, among others, so that women can live life to their best potential.  Dr. Miles is also an award winning surgeon, receiving the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists’Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology” award, and specializes in minimally invasive procedures to treat many common problems, including: heavy or painful periods, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, prolapse, and pelvic pain. Dr. Miles also prescribes a variety of contraceptives, including intrauterine devices (IUDs) and the Nexplanon.

Dr. Miles is also accepting new obstetric patients. Being pregnant can be a wonderful time in a woman’s life, but it can also be scary if complications occur. After experiencing a complicated twin pregnancy herself, Dr. Miles feels that she is more able to relate to patients, and guide them through their pregnancies with knowledge and reassurance. She has a special interest in breastfeeding and its health benefits for both mom and baby.

Dr. Miles has been married to her high school sweetheart, James, for 13 years. Together, they have a 4 year old daughter and 1 year old boy/girl twins. In her spare time, Dr. Miles enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
